During fall break on Oct. 17th and 18th, students from Princeton College Democrats
campaigned door to door in New Jersey for Gov. Murphy and state
legislative candidates in advance of the Nov. 2nd election.
One of the students reported:
Canvassing for Governor Murphy and Democrats across New Jersey was a
meaningful way for us to spend the beginning of our fall break. After a year
of online phone and text-banking as a group, this was the first time a
number of us were able to campaign in person together. The Democratic state
legislative campaigns we canvassed for were incredibly grateful to have our
support, and we were able to talk to voters about the stakes of this election and
their voting options, including a first-time registered voter who didn't know
how to vote or who was running! Princeton Progressives' support was essential to
our ability to make this opportunity available to all interested members and to
focus on the races across New Jersey that we felt would have the greatest impact.
