PPro and the Princeton College Democrats sponsored a forum on Effective Activism on Friday afternoon, moderated by Avery Stewart ’16 and featuring the following undergraduates and alumni: Christina Chica ’15 (Dream Team), Larry Hamm ’78 *80 (Front for the Liberation of Southern Africa), Mason Herson-Hord ’15 (People’s Climate March), Katie Horvath ’15 (Gaza Occupation / Divestment), Dayton Martindale ’15 (Sustainable Investment Initiative + NSA protests), Jimmy Tarlau ’70 (Students for a Democratic Society), Daniel Teehan ’17 (Students for Prison and Education Reform + The Princeton Progressive), and Achille Tenkiang ’17 (Black Lives Matter). Attendance was very good and there was enthusiastic discussion from both panel members and the audience. This was followed by a mixer for progressive students and alumni at Terrace Club, with an even larger and more enthusiastic attendance.
