Princeton Progressives teamed up with the Princeton Equality Project to enable six motivated students to spend their election-week break campaigning for marriage equality in Maine, where a hotly-contested voter initiative was on the ballot. The request came in only a week before the start of break, and we were not all sure it was feasible. We should never have underestimated the generosity of Tigers! With the help of our strategic partners who got the word out, in just 48 hours we were able to raise the $2,500 needed for travel expenses and food.
